Iris — AI Receptionist

An inbound voice agent that answers your business phone 24/7. Books appointments, captures leads, takes messages, routes emergencies.

Iris is a paid add-on on top of the base $99 plan, with her own dedicated US or UK phone number. If you run a local services business — plumbing, dental, salon, gym, clinic, restaurant, contractor — she's the highest-ROI agent in the lineup. Local businesses typically miss 30–40% of inbound calls. Iris answers them all.

What she does

Books appointments
Checks the calendar, offers free slots, books during the call. Works with our built-in calendar or your own CRM.
Captures leads
Qualified callers go to your Receptionist inbox with name, number, intent, budget, timeline.
Takes messages
Routine callbacks logged with one-tap call-back from HQ.
Routes emergencies
Cold-transfers urgent calls to your real phone instantly via SIP.
Answers from facts
FAQs, services, hours, prices, staff names — she answers from data you provide, never invents.
Sends SMS
Texts callers booking links, addresses, brochures — from your number, during the call.

Who it's for

Iris is built for businesses where the phone is how customers reach you:

  • Plumbers, electricians, HVAC, contractors, locksmiths
  • Dentists, vets, clinics, private practitioners
  • Salons, spas, gyms, personal trainers
  • Restaurants, caterers, event venues
  • Solo consultants and service professionals

Not for pure B2B SaaS or agencies

If your customers reach you via web forms / email / LinkedIn, you probably don't need Iris. Stick with Scout for outbound + Sage for inbound email. Save the $49.

Why it's separate from Scout

Scout's outbound channels (LinkedIn DM, cold email) don't apply to phone callers — residential consumers aren't on LinkedIn, and they didn't opt into cold email. Mixing inbound captures into Scout's outreach pipeline would mean cold-pitching people who just called you. Iris's leads stay in the Receptionist inbox, never in Scout's prospecting list.
